The good news: I'm starting a new job tomorrow at Premera Blue Cross as Senior Communications Manager for Media Relations."

I recommend this letter by Eric Earling. He has been a moderate voice at the sometimes bizarre right wing blog Sound Politics. It is also interesting that Eric, at 33, is moving to a position at what used to be Blue Cross, Premera. There he will be "Senior Communications Director." I would guess, given his background, this tile really means "chief political officer." One wonders whether this m,akes sense in an era of impending national health care and an increasingly leftist state? Is Premera setting itself up for a battle with Obamacare? That would be terribly sad for a company that was once seen as more of a public spirited entity than yet another insurance company.
