Politicker WA | Washington Politics News, Reaction, and Analysis: "How many state boards and commissions should the state keep?
A few lawmakers are starting to look seriously at that question. Gov. Chris Gregoire questioned the need for something like half of the 470-plus boards in her inaugural address last week."
Yes .....
and then lets get rid of the huge number of elected offices in Wastate that would be better served by career employees. We have a Lt. Gov with NO job description, a State Superintendent of Education who runs a staff that spends $$ w/o educating kids, an elected satte auditor ... hell we ought to have elections for Ferry Captain!
