Khaled Meshal, Hamas’ High Muckety Muck, announced this week that Hamas would be willing to accept a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. Before you get too excited, please note that Meshal, who a couple of Shakespeare-loving Mossadniks attempted to kill using ear poison a decade ago, isn’t planning to change the Hamas Charter. For those unaware, that’s the one that cites the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, rejects any solution to the Middle East conflict besides jihad and notes that the opponents of Islam are "Israel, Judaism and Jews." He claims that the document is no longer important because Hamas has been shaped by it’s experiences—we’re afraid the experiences he has in mind are the numerous times idiots in the West have been fooled into seeing Hamas as a liberation movement.
