Matt Blunt is the Republican incumbent governor of Missouri. he is being challenged by Missouri's attorney general, Jay Nixon.
At least one blog raises issue about this candidacy. What do folks here know about this fellow? Coould the Demo thiorst for power sink to resucitating Nixon?

Get off our backs! As a Missouri Democrat, I can assure you that Nixon is better than Blunt - we want to open some ping-pong diplomacy with China, and he seems like the natural guy to do it.
More seriously, this Nixon has his flaws, but I sincerely think he'd be a huge improvement as governor in Missouri.

Out here in the GPNW, electing dems is an obsession. You might, read my post "The Truth in not Newsworthy" to get a better idea of my concerns. the media are so bad, I worry that we may elect demoes who are no better than the current crop of Publicans.
Or it could just be a guy named Nixon running for office, Dr. Freud.
