Sad end to 2007 -- New Year's Eve stabbing on 15th

Ugly way for the year to end. This from 15th Ave E in the vacinity of 7-11 and Group Health.

Via Seattle LiveJournal community and my balcony...a woman was apparently stabbed at 15th and Howell. The police have the street between 15th and 16th on Howell taped off and a news helicopter is circling.

From the Seattle Times:

A woman in her mid-20s died tonight after being stabbed on Capitol Hill in Seattle.

Residents near 15th Avenue East and East Howell Street heard screaming shortly after 7 p.m. and called police. Officers found the victim lying on the Howell Street sidewalk with multiple stab wounds, police said.

The woman was taken by paramedics to Harborview Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Police haven't identified any suspects and are seeking eyewitnesses to the attack. No other information, including the woman's name, was released."
