Black College Loses Accreditation

Waco alumni saddened by Paul Quinn College's loss of accreditation: "Waco alumni of Paul Quinn College reacted in shock after an announcement this week that the historically black school had lost its accreditation for the upcoming school year.

Paul Quinn College was established in Austin in 1872 as the first black college in Texas. The school spent the better part of its history in Waco, graduating many students who would later become local educators and community leaders, before it moved to Dallas in 1990."
