Right Flight XX

In response t a comment by Roger Rabbit at HA, I wrote the following:

I could not agree more that the Reprican party is in the hands of Qaeda infected incompetents. Bush and Gonzo have the difficult proble, of living in a world so ubnreal that even the voters now understand that the emperor has no clothes.

Reprican incompetence hardly endorses Gov. Gregoire. She is a competent administrator with no vision and no leaderhip abilities. As a result,.depite the good tmes, WA state has no long term strategies.

I suggest that her weakness is an opening for the opposition. I would not be sure that the opposition will be so bizar as to be as unelectable as recent Reprican choices. If we are lucky the Reps will run someone like McKay or tMcKenna

The danger is that the legacy of the GOP could fall into far worse hands. Rove managed to get Bush appointed, no? IUnder the Right Flight title, I have been documenting the surr surr of efforts to take over the shipwreck following the 09 de4bacle. Gingrich has already built a embryonic, grassroots organization-in-waiting Dobson-Roves army still has its arms. S’negger has charm, ambition, and access to megabucks.

The good news for Dems is that these Reeprican tribes might bicker enough to tear the GOP into Iraq style fragments. The bad news is that history supports the like sof Gingrich taking over the party. and … unlike Bush who may be an incompetent, Gumpish leader of a naifs, Gingrich is a truly evil, Machiavellian politician capable of using a Rovian army in a far more effective fashion. On the other hand, as a naif myself, I like to imagine this as an opportunity for a Clinton-like centrist to reform the GOP. What is interestng is that neither Gingrich nor S’negger is likely to ever by Prexy. However, Putin seems to be rewriting the book on how to appear to be"
